My Shoes! Straight from His Heart

Straight from the office, I rushed to SM Megamall last night to look for a pair of shoes that will go well with my sensitive feet. Buying shoes was one of the minor yet weeks in the making decision that I did. I need to consider first the budget, and the materials it made from for I have an allergic reaction to any synthetic fabricated foot wear. I uttered to “Tatay Lord” (my very personal way of calling God) to provide me a shoes that are suited to what I need.
As I stepped inside the mall, I already had the gut where to get those pair. I headed to the Department Store and excitedly walked to the shoes section and toured around. I’ve seen pairs of different styles, and colors that were enticingly arranged in the shoe rack. Girls, if you are fascinated with stilettos you may want to grab those 4-inch high heels and put it in your cart.
As for me, I need to stay focused on my buying goals; price must within the budget, and comfortably encased my hard working feet. That’s the time I’ll say its Tatay Lord’s leading.

Sole Mate Assorted Shoes
As I turned my back, I saw these girls grabbing their pairs of shoes from a shoe rack and fitting it. I looked closely and saw this offer of Sole Mate “Any 2 for Php. 399.75 ($9.24)” amazingly, not bad plus it conformed to my  goal requirements.

At first, I was not convinced so I turned to the sales lady to confirm it and nicely asked, “Is the price good for 2 pairs?” and she answered with conviction. “Yes”.

Sole Mate Fashionable Designs
I felt like I heard a bell ring, and the next thing I knew I was looking for a size 8 pairs of shoes. But the second requirement must meet; there must be a “Cinderella moment”.

Glad to know that as of this writing I am enjoying the comfort that my fabric case made shoes are giving to my high valued feet. Thank You Tatay Lord for the guidance, I praise Your Holy Name

The Master’s Academy Free homeschool Orientation

Last May of this year I was about to attend a Home Schooling Seminar at CCF, but I changed my plan since there was a fee for it. My fiancée, a homeschool student himself and pursuing a degree in Political Science & Government advised me not to hurry things and wait for the best opportunity to come for there are myriads of it.

"My desire of learning more about Homeschooling started after I heard a friend and a sister in Christ sharing her stories of being hands-on to her kids both raising them and educating them at home".

Medicard Humble Beginnings: "A Vision that Started with P1.00 a Day"

Dr. Nicanor D. Montoya believed that if a person could just put away this small sum of the money daily, he could already afford hospitalization. From this basic philosophy, Medicard (Philippines) Inc. was born. Its mission was simply to provide quality comprehensive healthcare services to many Filipinos, at a cost they could afford.

Necessity as the Mother of Innovation

Dr. Montoya’s Vision for medicard was born out of a desperate need.
The country was reeling from two decades of dictatorship rule. Health costs were rising, but incomes were falling. Not only were working-class people unable to pay for much-needed quality healthcare, even middle-income families were grapping for available funds they can use in case of medical emergencies.
Carrying out his civic duty, Dr. Montoya gathered a group of eminent physicians from the most distinguished medical centers in the country and convinced them to pool their resources together to set up the country’s first health maintenance organization (HMO) in 1987. An HMO provides a comprehensive healthcare program for its members, which includes emergency care, hospital confinement, preventive healthcare, dental care and out-patient consultation services.

For Sale: Alvarado's Art Work "Mag-Iloy"

“Mag-Iloy”

Iconic Negrenese social realist painter Nunelucio Alvarado (1950) is regarded as one of the most prominent contemporary artists in the Philippines.  He has won numerous international critical acclaim for his powerful works that mostly portrayed the life and struggles of Negros Occidental’s  the working class.
Alvarado’s art is a panorama of Philippine life that ranges  from the decorative aspects of Negros life such as the colorful fruits and vegetables found in the market; or the simple family life that utilizes the bright prints and patterns under the Visayan sun; and on the darker side, the evils of  environmental, social and cultural degradation of which he is known for as a social realist.
Recognized for his unique and distinct style of bright-eyed squat and squared figures that employ strong vivid colors and dark lines, Alvarado frequently applies powerful psycho-sexual symbols with a touch of the surreal as he depicts the plight of sugarcane workers, fishermen and traders found in his native Negros Occidental.

My Siblings, My Mother!

Growing up I didn't experience the tender loving care of a biological Mom. My Mother died when I was at toddler years. Based from the stories that my brothers relayed to me, I was only two years old when my Mother named Juanita Erenio Calderon was bitten by a cat that came from nowhere. Those old days’ people were not aware about the possible deadly rabies from Cat bite. As old day’s practices for animal bite, Mom just applied garlic in her wounded ankle and went to the doctor and had an Anti-Tetanus shot. After 5 months from the time she had bitten she acted weird and showed symptoms like malaise, headache, and fever. My family said she even had violent movements, uncontrolled excitement, depression and hydrophobia. From February 11 until February 15, 1982 she had hard time breathing and deeply catching her breath. She extremely suffered because of the virus attacked her brain.
